Thanks in large part to the work of Technoparc Oiseaux, the significance of this important wetland is now well documented.
These marshes are home to the largest variety and density of birds on the Island of Montréal and are near the top of the list for the whole province. Some of the birds found here, such as the Least Bittern, are supposed to be protected by theSpecies At Risk Actand theMigratory Birds Convention Act."
