Wed Nov 6, 7-9pm: Neighbours for the Planet Volunteer Night

Join us for our next Volunteer Night!

Find out more about Neighbours for the Planet, meet other like-minded people who care about the climate crisis, and let's take climate action to help tackle this very urgent issue.

Date: Wed Nov 6

Time: 7-9pm

Location: Richmond Hill United Church, 10201 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 3B2

Enter from the back of the church. Parking is available at the church as well as on Yonge Street.

This week we will work on 2 items:

1) We will have a quick review of the list of climate actions that we agreed on last meeting and finalize which ones we will run with.

  • For more details about what we discussed in the previous meeting check out Our Work.

  • Neighbours for the Planet has been invited to have a table at the free film screening - Anthropocene: The Human Epoch which is being hosted by the city of Richmond Hill (more details and to register) to bring more public awareness of the work we are doing. We will take this opportunity to get more people from the community engaged and coming out to our Volunteer Nights and hence we are going to delay creating our Climate Action teams until after that event.

2) Write letters to our local MPPs and Doug Ford demanding that the premier stop wasting our time, money, and resources on the carbon sticker campaign and ensuing court battle.

Bring a friend or come out and make some new friends!

EVERYONE is welcome!

If possible, please RSVP by emailing contact@neighboursfortheplanet.ca to let us know you are coming so we have an idea of numbers. But if you don't get a chance to RSVP, come anyway! You are always welcome!

Let's build our climate community!
