Our Climate Our Stories Competition by the People Planet Pages Book Club

We are so thrilled to share with you the ‘Our Climate, Our Stories’ Creative Writing Competition for Canadian BIPOC Youth, launched by the People Planet Pages Book Club. The competition is open for ages 14 to 29 years old, to share your stories and narrative about your lived experiences, personal, cultural and communal response to climate change.

Whether it’s through a poem, essay, or short story, the aim is to amplify, celebrate, and share stories of diverse perspectives around climate change. Twenty of these writing pieces will be compiled into a digital story book, and the top three entries (chosen by a panel of expert judges) will be awarded prizes!

Head on over to @peopleplanetbooks to learn more! Submissions are due on November 30, and along the way they’ll be sharing resources and virtual workshops to help you get those creative juices flowing!

Our Climate, Our Stories is an initiative by the @peopleplanetbooks book club, in partnership with @climateillustrated, @bamcollectivee, @enviromuslimscanada and @peelclimatecouncil. And it is funded by @risingyouthtig
