"The Ontario government is using the COVID-19 pandemic as cover to broadly dismantle environmental protections.
At the beginning of April 2020, the Ford government passed a regulation that effectively suspended public consultation under Ontario’sEnvironmental Bill of Rights(EBR). Under this regulation, the government will not have to notify Ontarians or give them the opportunity to weigh in on decisions that may have a significant effect on the environment."
