Stop the destructive Highway 413

"The Ontario government is trying to fast-track approval for a new mega-highway, Highway 413, that would pave over important farmland, forests, rivers, and a section of the Greenbelt in the GTHA.

Back in 2018 this same project was cancelled by the province because it would cost billions of dollars and do massive environmental damage, while saving drivers just 30 seconds off their commute.

But now it’s back. And worse, the provincial government is proposing skipping major parts of the project’s Environmental Impact Assessment, a legal process designed to make sure that new infrastructure works are safe and effective for our health and environment."
