Millennials make up more than one-quarter of Canada’s population. They are the most connected and diverse generation in history, the largest voting bloc in Canadian society and the largest proportion of the workforce.
Drawing on research from David Suzuki Foundation climate communications fellow Tara Mahoney, this workshop will explore the societal and political context of millennials and how that influences their engagement with climate issues. In response to the Building bridges for climate action: Engagement strategies for millennials report (https://bit.ly/33LmEDm), we’ll hear from millennial campaigners about how to effectively speak to this generation and what ENGOs must consider as they design campaigns, engage supporters and deliver on their theories of change.
